The Dark Lord. and pictures.

Wednesday.

During emailed political argument, said that Thatcher was 'terrible, but great'. Unintentionally equated Lady Thatch w Lord Voldemort.

Think I stand by this. Thank you, Olivander.

  1. Wonderful drawings. Very interesting blog, too. I found this site by looking at other people who include "Night of the Demon" in their profiles.

  2. thanks- extensive education not wasted after all, shock.

i LOVE night of the demon- i have a long nurtured love for old horror films, though few are english, sadly.
apart from the bad realisation of the demon, its actually fairly chilling and wheatley-ish, and i love the noise it makes as it comes along the rails.
bravo to you, for acknoledging a forgotten gem.

  3. How bizarre - for no particular reason I had the recent impulse to find this film, which I remember as vert scary from my childhood (illicitly staying up late). Found the relevant bits on Youtube, I think.
It inspired, as I recall, the lines from Kate Bush "it's coming! It's coming through the trees!". A modern day demonic noir classic. How very appropriate for my (very preliminary) intuition about you. More research is needed. You are a talented artist.

  4. Research confirms - it was The Hounds of Love by Kate Bush.
Dana Andrews was superb, Peggy Cummongs too, but Niall MacGinnis in clown's make up....too much.
Also, although not in black and white - The Devil Rides Out, with it's scary spider scene.
