I love the train pic. Looks very "Thirties" to me. What is the book? BTW, I have stuck a couple or three of my sketches up; a bit tortured and laboured compared to yours.
ReplyDeleteHello Violet, thanks for dropping by and, er...I can't think of anything to say right now. Not to worry, I'm sure I'll be back.
ReplyDeletehey- the illustration is by stuart tresilian, in the castle of adventure by enid blyton. i was tidying up a bookcase.

Hey Violet - thanks for the comment and compliment on my blog - I was looking for an email address for you but had to settle for posting a comment. Hope to see/hear from you more in the future!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Mac fan too, from SE days. And yes, I am a fencer. Off to Poland tomorrow with the England Epee cadets (I'm primarily a foilist, though have recently discovered an aptitude for the others).
ReplyDeleteSV- cool. i began with foil but prefer epee- i especially like getting hits to unguarded toes. registered for fencing tickets at the olympics today.
ReplyDeletegood luck in poland- Ziemekcoaches my club- i know how awesome they are.
Violet - thanks for the comment on my blog, to which I have responded.
ReplyDeleteYours is a delight that I hadn't seen before, but which I will follow from today.
It put me slightly in mind of 'Dear Fonzie' by the feisty Jennifer Michael Hecht. You might wish to try it out.
Hope to correspond soon!
